The Home-to-School Liaison at King Philip Middle School is a vital resource for outreach work with students and families transitioning into King Philip - 5th graders coming into 6th grade, and students and their families coming to King Philip from other districts. THe HSL meets with students individually, runs "lunch bunch groups", and facilitate special topic groups such as anger/stress management, self-esteem, grief/loss groups, etc., collaborating with the school counselors and other clinical staff to ensure that students and their families are getting their needs met. In addition, th HSL co-facilitates a parent discussion group with PTO member Angie Roth entitled "Strategies to Help Families Prepare Their Children For Success" which has itself been a success and is being offered to parents again this year.
