April is Sexual Assault Awareness month and the Student Council is running a women’s clothing drive. All gently used shirts and bottoms are accepted. However, if you bring in NEW clothing with tags or packaged women’s clothing items you will be entered to win a PROM TICKET or gift card for each item you bring. Items can be dropped off with Ms. Casey in the library.
Hello Conard! Senior Prom tickets and picnic tickets will be on sale in room 162 before or after school starting April 26th and ending May 10th. Prior to purchasing your tickets you must pay all obligations. For specifics on prices or meals please pick up the flyer located in the main office or outside of room 162.
April is School Library Month and this week we are featuring our Research Databases. It’s research season! Did you know thousands of journals, historical newspaper articles, and primary source materials are available online 24/7 to students and staff through Conard Library’s subscriptions? Come by the library and grab a green or yellow sheet for the username and passwords. School libraries EMPOWER students!
Junior Prom tickets are now on sale in room 201 before and after school. You can pay with cash or checks made out to Conard High School. Please see posters for more specific information.
Today, April 21st our school will be participating in the Day of Silence. On this day, students from middle schools to colleges across the nation will take a vow of silence to address the problem of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment. To learn more about the Day of Silence or to find out how you can participate, please visit the Day of Silence booth during your lunch period today. You can also contact Ms. Calhoun, Ms. Deep-Mac, or Ms. Tonucci.
Lead By Example will meet today, April 21st at 2:15 pm in room 171.
The BRAVE Girls Leadership Club will be showing the film “Girl Rising” on Monday, April 24th after school in room 169. This film highlights the importance of education and shares past experiences girls have had around the world. A bake sale will be held during the film to support the overall funding for Conard’s clubs. We hope you can join!
There is a mandatory rehearsal for the newest members of the World Language Honor Society this Monday, April 24th. Please be in the auditorium by 2:30 pm. This practice will be over by 3:30 pm. If you have a conflict or cannot attend, please let your language teacher know beforehand.
Starting Monday, April 24th, the Homework Club with Ms. Maher, which normally meets in room 314 from 2:15 pm – 3:45 pm will be meeting in the TECH LAB in the library from 2:30 pm – 3:45 pm on Mondays and Thursdays. This is a change in LOCATION and TIME. Again, the Homework Club will be meeting from now on in the TECH LAB in the library from 2:30 pm – 3:45 pm on Mondays and Thursdays.
