Ms. Coyne- ICT
As the ICT teacher, I work with students, staff and the community to integrate technology into their daily lives and learning using the IB philosophy. I collaborate with staff to further promote the development of our COIA students as Global Citizens, including the work of building their Global Digitial Citizenship. I also maintain Charter Oak's webpage and Facebook page.
I received my undegraduate degree from Connecticut College (Go Camels!) in History and my secondary teaching certification in History and Social Studies. I taught four years of 6th grade Social Studies in Middletown, CT and during this time I went back to school to pursue my Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of Saint Joseph's. I then taught three years at Bugbee Elementary School as the Resource Teacher. This is my second year at Charter Oak and I'm so excited to continue working with the staff and students to build communication and technology skills.
In my spare time I love to travel, cook and exercise. I have run one marathon and two half marathons, but recently have been addicted to Spin class. I love spending time with my family, especially my parents' two chocolate labs!
