I have been teaching at Charter Oak since 1992. Over the years I have taught all the grades except second, with most of my experience in the kindergarten classroom.
My years of working with students have led me to view teaching as a form of coaching. Coaching children to exercise their biggest muscle, their intellect. Helping them develop good habits of mind, to love reading and learning, to be curious and powerful... to be good citizens of this planet.
When not working I love to hike in the woods with my wife and dogs, to read, garden and sit and think. I have two grown boys, two step children and a granddaughter.
