The following work was accomplished last week:

  • Foundation excavations and concrete pours continued.

  • Gravel for stabilization and foundation back filling continued to be brought to the site.

  • The telephone line re-feed of the existing building from Flatbush Avenue was completed on Saturday.

  • Drilling for the geothermal wells continued.

  • Installation began of the underground storm water system at the north end of the site.

  • Demolition of the utility service lines and poles along the former Parker Street began.

  • Installation of the protective walkway along the front of the building began.

 Work anticipated this week:

  • Demolition of the utility service poles along the former Parker Street will continue.

  • Final connection of the temporary sanitary line to the existing building will be made on Tuesday evening.

  • Geothermal well drilling contractor will continue.

  • Foundation excavations and concrete pours will continue.

  • Protective walkway installation will continue Wednesday after school and on Saturday if needed.  After reviewing the initial installation last week, a protective netting will be installed on each side of the walkway to discourage climbing on the structure and foam padding added on corners and turns for safety.  Also, some sections will be reconfigured and/or realigned to improve pedestrian travel.
