Choose Kindness




Kindness is contagious!


King Philip students are reading the novel, Wonder, and we are working on Acts of Kindness activities both at school and at home.


Listed below are ideas that can encourage the character trait of kindness.  As your children mature, they will give back the kindness that they have observed and participated in with you.


CLICK HERE to submit the Acts of Kindness that your student and family have completed.

  1. Send someone a hand written note of thanks.

  2. Make a card at home and send it to a friend for no reason.

  3. Walk your friend’s or neighbor’s dog.

  4. Let someone go in front of you in a line.

  5. Write notes of appreciation at least once a week.

  6. Pick up some rubbish which would otherwise be lying around.

  7. Compliment someone for their excellence.

  8. Help an elderly neighbor carry the rubbish out.

  9. Tell all your family members how much your appreciate them.

  10. Send a HAND-WRITTEN thank you note to a person.

  11. Drop off baked goods at the local police or fire department with a written note of thanks.

  12. Create thumb socks to combat texting.

  13. Create an armband taking a stand on an important issue / or by being an ally to someone or a cause.

  14. Volunteer your time at a non-profit organization.

  15. Other Acts of Kindness you would like to share.

  16. Join us at KP on January 22 -Knitting Club will host a Stitch and Care event to knit caps or blankets to be donated to St. Agnes Home from 4:15-615 please rsvp to Ms. Pacyna or Ms. Shoemaker. We encourage that a parent/guardian be accompanied by a student.

  17. Join us at KP on January 15 from 3:00- 6:00 to write kindness quotes and post them on lockers. We encourage that a parent/guardian be accompanied by a student. Please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food bank.

  18. Join us at KP February 6- Bring a t-shirt and create your own kindness t-shirt from 2:00-3:30 and 6:30-7:30. We encourage that a parent/guardian be accompanied by a student. Please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food bank.

  19. Join us at KP. Family Paint Night February 11th - KP's Art teacher, Ms. Grindle, will host this creative evening from 6:30-8:30 pm. There is a $15.00 charge per couple for this event with proceeds going to Heart Association. Seating is limited to the first twenty people to register with payment. We encourage that a parent/guardian be accompanied by a student.
