There are always opportunities for you to help at Sedgwick and throughout the community on school- and child-centered groups and events! Show your child that their school is important to you by volunteering your time and talents and attending PTO meetings.
Sedgwick Middle School has a vibrant and dedicated PTO composed of volunteer parents from all walks of life. Your involvement enriches our school in countless ways. Our goal is to facilitate every parent’s involvement in the PTO whether through attending meetings, volunteering in the school or at outside activities such as translating, baking, communications, hospitality, etc. If you have a talent to share and have not found your niche, we will find a way for you to help!
We use Volunteer Spot for volunteer needs. Visit http://www.volunteerspot.com/group/2757884320105#!/show to see active volunter requests.
The school year is full of opportunity but it takes planning, so please take a moment now to consider how you can participate in Sedgwick’s volunteer community for 2015-2016.
The PTO Board is an exciting opportunity to share your talents. We meet in the evening for the convenience of working families, and are constantly evolving to meet the needs of the community. We are currently seeking interested/grandparents and guardians to shadow all positions on PTO Board. This is an exciting way to be a part of the support and success of the PTO in filling in the gaps and supporting our school! Leadership positions are available for 2015-16, we invite you to explore the possibilities.
Research has shown a strong correlation between parental involvement in school and higher student achievement; public education is the ultimate team sport.
Thank you for your support of our school, our staff, our students and our town.
