Consequences

As in any community, it is expected that digital citizens act with integrity according to accepted norms, rules, and laws. To ensure appropriate use of computers and the internet, COIA has worked with students and staff to develop Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Essential Agreements. Thinkers understand their roles and responsibilities in a digital society. Together we want to create an opportunity to increase student ownership.

While infractions will be handled on a case by case basis, if students do not follow the Essential Agreements, the following actions will be considered as guidelines:

1st time: written warning

2nd time: research project on appropriate use

3rd time: loss of computer privileges for a to be determined number of days

If you have any questions about expectations or consequences, please see Mr. Diamond (ICT teacher) or Mrs. Cochrane (Library Media Specialist).
