Offices

Administrative offices for the West Hartford Public Schools are located in the Town Hall building at 50 South Main Street. 
General Working Parameters
  • Meetings will begin and end on time.
  •  A 15-minute processing time will be left at end of meeting to summarize and set agenda for next meeting.
  • Times should be allotted at the beginning and the end of the meeting for the public to comment on an agenda item.  Time for each speaker and each topic should be limited
  • Agenda will be adhered to.  Agenda will be focused, but flexible.
  • All members will have a chance to give input into an agenda item.
  • Items on the agenda must meet the general purpose of the Council, which is framed by the Health 2010 indicators.   Agenda items should be filtered through a Council representative.  Items should be district issues. 
  • No member will dominate the discussions and conversations.
  • Written minutes will be kept. 
  • Written minutes should be approved and available to the public via the West Hartford Public Schools Physical Education and Health Department website. 
  • Representatives from the Council should report back to the group they represent, getting information as needed.  Parent representatives should report out at PTO meetings and bring back parent concerns, as appropriate.
  • Members representing schools should send an alternative if they are not able to attend.
  • There should be a chairperson and a secretary.
