This will be my 12th year at Webster Hill School. I started teaching here while I was studying for my Masters in Education at St. Joseph's College. I worked as a Reading Lab tutor from 2006-2007 and then as an Early Intervention reading teacher during the 2007-2008 school year. After I finished my degree, I was a long-term First Grade substitute teacher in Farmington, CT. I taught 5 years of 2nd Grade and I will begin my 5th year teaching 3rd Grade! I completed my 6th Year/2nd Masters Certificate in Educational Technology at Uconn in 2014. I look forward to incorporating meaningful technology throughout the school year!
I live in West Hartford with my husband Greg. We have 2 grown sons Mitchell and Colby and our 5 year old English Bulldog, Hazel. I look to seeing students and their families around West Hartford!
I am passionate about my fitness and CrossFit and swim on my Masters swim team.

My name is Emily Ruocco, and I am teaching 3rd grade this year! Last year, I taught 4th Grade. In May 2014, I graduated from Roger Williams University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and specialization in Marine Biology. After graduating, I worked at Webster Hill as a teaching assistant for the building. The following school year, I continued working at Webster Hill as a second grade teaching assistant. Beginning in February of that same school year, I taught fourth grade at Duffy Elementary School. I am very happy to be back at Webster Hill for my 2nd year of classroom teaching!
