Teresa Giolito, Principal
Welcome! It is hard to believe that our warm summer days are quickly coming to an end. I hope you've had an opportunity to relax and enjoy summer spending time with your families, going to the beach or catching up on a good book! I am thrilled to be returning to Smith STEM as your new principal. I am honored to be working with such a talented and dedicated faculty and staff, amazing students, and supportive families!
As many of you know, I taught fourth grade at Smith STEM school from 2001-2008. I also taught Spanish at Smith from 2008-2010. In 2010 I became the Curriculum Specialist at Duffy School, a position that I held for two years. In 2012, I became the Assistant Principal at West Woods Upper Elementary School in Farmington, CT.
I live in Wethersfield, CT with my husband Rich and our two daughters Alexa and Maddie. Alexa is a junior at Eastern Connecticut State University majoring in psychology. Maddie is a senior at Wethersfield High School and is a member of the marching band, cross country, and track teams. My family will tell you how happy I am to be returning "home" to Smith STEM School!
