Fun Facts

Keep Your Salads Safe!
It's a myth that commercial mayonnaise causes food-borne illness.  In fact, the vinegar or other acidic ingredient such as lemon juice will somewhat inhibit bacterial growth.  However, handle mayo-containing foods with care, since the ingredients mixed with it, such as cooked potatoes or eggs, can become contaminated during preparation, and bacteria will grow if the food is left at warm temperatures.
