Healthy Snack Choices!
All foods and beverages sold  in the West Hartford cafeterias meet the State of Connecticut Healthy Food Initiative.  All items sold a la carte meet established standards for fat, saturated and trans fats, added sugar, and portion size.

 

 

Mission Statement: The Nutrition Services Department provides nourishing meals to the West Hartford Schools’ staff and students, giving them the fuel they need to learn.

"Federal legislation establishes regulations and requirements for recipients of federal funds to prohibit discrimination and ensure equal access to all programs and activities of the recipients. Based on these requirements the U.S. Department of Agriculture prohibits discrimination in Child Nutrition Programs on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, and sex."
