Copyright and Fair Use
Rights and Responsibilities

Educators and students benefit from special rights, under copyright, law to use intellectual property belonging to others for educational purposes. However, these rights are not unlimited. The fair use guidelines, developed by educators, publishers, producers and copyright holders further delineate these rights for specific purposes. Along with these rights comes the responsibility to learn about the legal and ethical use of intellectual property belonging to others.
