The mission of Louise Duffy School, as a community with a strong
belief in the unlimited potential of every child, is to develop
confident, responsible, respectful, and compassionate students who are
academically well-prepared, physically fit, and emotionally healthy to
journey into the 21st century. To accomplish this, we will
ensure high individual achievement, develop critical thinking skills,
foster creativity, and celebrate personal uniqueness.
Objectives:
- All students will meet their grade level
objectives in reading, writing and math.
- All students will demonstrate technological
competency upon graduation from Duffy.
- All students will communicate with respect and
act responsibly.
- All students will begin to identify their
personal uniqueness and strive to reach their personal best.
Tactics:
- We will use effective strategies and programs to
help all students achieve the Duffy mission and objectives.
- We will improve our system of parent and teacher
communication throughout the Duffy community.
- We will develop the character of each student
with emphasis on responsibility, respect, confidence, compassion
and an appreciation of personal uniqueness.
- We will actively pursue the acquisition of
technology and integrate it into the curriculum.

Duffy Parents, Guardians and Friends,
Greetings
and welcome to the 50th Anniversary Year of Duffy’s
founding! I hope everyone
has enjoyed the summer break and is ready for the excitement that a
new school year brings. We
have many wonderful things planned for our special year and I
anticipate we will forge new friendships as we reconnect with the
past. The Duffy staff is in high spirits and eager to do what they do
best. The teachers are the backbone of the excellent instruction that
your child is assured to experience.
Together, we are looking forward to working with you for
his/her maximum growth.
I look forward
to seeing many of you who will be returning to Duffy this year, and to
meeting many of the new students and parents, especially in
kindergarten. If issues,
questions or concerns come up throughout the year, I hope you will
call my office to clarify, share or problem solve as needed.
