Overview

Math Trailblazers is a complete, research-based, K-5 mathematics program integrating math, science, and language arts.

The revised, second edition of Math Trailblazers embodies the new NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) Principles and Standards for School Mathematics (PSSM).

Math Trailblazers is based on the beliefs that:

• The organized investigation of everyday situations is an ideal setting for learning mathematics;
• All students deserve a richer and more challenging curriculum;
• A balanced and practical approach to mathematics learning is what your students need and what you, as teachers, want.

Math Trailblazers originally received funding from the National Science Foundation and was developed by the TIMS Project (Teaching Integrated Mathematics and Science) at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Thousands of students and teachers from around the country are enjoying and benefitting from Math Trailblazers. The new edition of Math Trailblazers builds upon this success with a revised and engaging mathematics curriculum.
