$31,586 total savings acheived in the month of November, thanks to the WHPS Conservation Challenge!

November 1st to November 30th, 2008

During the month of November, all West Hartford Public Schools will participate in an effort to conserve electricity. This Conservation Challenge will attempt to reduce electrical consumption by 10%. We hope this effort will change behavior toward energy consumption at school and carry over to home practice as well. This effort will conserve vital resources, positively impact our entire community and save money. Progress can be followed here on our website, which tracks each school's cumulative consumption as compared to historic baseline data from November 1st to November 30th. Additional information for kids, teachers, parents and homeowners can also be found on this site. We encourage West Hartford Public School parents to discuss this event and take the survey on this website with their children. Thank you and enjoy your savings!
