The Connecticut General Assembly's Public Act 09-199 obligates the state Department of Public Safety to notify school superintendents whenever a sex offender is released within their school district.

Accordingly, this information will be made available through the WHPS website. The link on the bottom of this page will take users to the Connecticut Department of Public Safety website.  As well as a sex offender registry, it includes links to other resources, answers to frequently asked questions, and safety information.

Whenever the Dept. of Public Safety notifies West Hartford Public Schools of the release of a registered sex offender within the district, a notification will be posted, with the date, on this page.
