John E. Hardy is Vice President of William Gallagher Associates, the largest privately-held insurance consulting and brokerage firm in New England, where he manages the firm’s Employee Benefits service operations in Connecticut. He consults to clients on health and welfare plan design; vendor negotiation and selection; funding arrangements; compliance; implementation and administration; and other related benefits issues.

Mr. Hardy has been in the employee benefits industry for twenty-five years. He has a varied background encompassing benefits plan administration, carrier account management, legal compliance, and consulting/brokering. He has worked with large, small and multiple employer programs in both the private and public sectors.

Mr. Hardy is a licensed Life, Accident and Health Insurance producer, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. He completed the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) Program through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and has been an instructor for the CEBS program at the University of Connecticut. He has been an appointed member of the Risk Management Advisory Board for the Town of West Hartford, Connecticut since 2005.
