Oh Window My Window
By James
W.
November 7, 2005
Oh window, my window
How transparent you be
I look through you and I can see
What is going on outside my door,
Though my sneakers still touch the floor
Right now out there are three tiny cats
Running and playing on my doorstep mat

Nature
By Danny G.
October 31, 2005
The brown bark on the
tree whispers to the river,
moving silently,
And it passes the news to the mountain,
tall and strong.
The mountain looks to the sky and informs it,
While an eagle, brave and bold, hears the news and passes it on.
The cloud, puffy as a marshmallow
drops rain.
And the rain says to the boy:
The world is an amazing place. Don't wreck the earth! |

Falling Through Time
By Tess W.
November 28, 2005
The wind whistles and the flowers fade.
The leaves fall knowing new ones will grow in their place.
The birds fly south to catch the sun and the children play
indoors to keep the cold away.
The outdoors is sleeping.
All is quiet, except for the dads raking multi-colored leaves
into piles for kids to jump in.
Pumpkins are carved and set on the front porch left to rot as
the first star rises in the sky.

Dreams By
Nick S.
October 24, 2005
Dreams are like sparks in your head that don't want to
go away.
Dreams are the brain's creation of a memory.
When you go to sleep, your brain twists it a little.
It might be a nightmare, it might not.
This is where the fun starts.
Your brain releases the twisted thought and it turns into a dream.
It's like a video camera showing its movie to you.
When you wake up it all goes black.

Happy By
Alyssa M.
January 9, 2006
Happy is the sun blazing in your face,
your toes burning in the hot sand.
Happy is the joy that lives within everyone.
When you play volleyball,
you get the joy of life.
Not everybody is always happy
but I am. |
Spring Flowers By Roshni
B.
February 6, 2006
Spring
flowers are blooming
with the wind
all different colors.
and pretty...
I take off each petal and blow them in
the wind.
Spring flowers,
like a lollypop
I
want
to
eat!
