Introduction:
Have
you ever wanted to be an author of your own book?
Well this is your chance. First you will learn about a wonderful
author named Kevin Henkes. You will
read about him and the many books he has written.
You will discover the wonderful illustrations in Kevin Henkes’ books
and explore the structure of his stories.
Task:
You can create a book of your own, using
story elements such as characters, plot, setting,
problem and solution. You can also illustrate your own book and created a
cover and a title page. Or you can review two
of Kevin Henkes’ books. Explain why you like or
did not like the books. Then make connections between the books. For
example, were there similarities in any of
the settings, characters or story plots.
