The PreK through 5 WLES program (World Languages in the Elementary Schools) creates a foundation for future language study that includes skills, motivation, and a positive attitude towards another language and culture. The WLES program is designed to continue the development of language skills initiated at the previous level. Students also acquire an understanding and appreciation for other cultures. Wherever possible, the themes for WLES are content-related and integrate concepts from the WHPS curriculum. K-5 Students meet twice a week for thirty minutes each, while PreK meets once a week.
