Volunteers are always
welcome. One important way to help is to come during your child’s class
period. You can help with computer lessons, putting books away on the shelves
or helping with check out. Please contact Ms. VanInwagen (Pat_VanInwagen@whps.org)
if you are interested in helping. Another way to help is to say YES! When
you are asked to help with the book fair in May. This book fair is the
BOGO where children can buy good books for less, just in time for summer
reading!
As of November, there are 37
students who have volunteered to help in the library. Some
students come each week before school to turn on the computers,
some come each week after school to turn them off and others
come once or twice a month during recess to help put books away
or to straighten up the shelves. Students in fourth and fifth grade who are
interested in volunteering should speak with Ms. VanInwagen and pick up
an application in the library. There are openings for before or
after school and
during one recess a month. What a great way to perform some community
service to your school!
