Our library also offers many opportunities for students to become computer literate.  We have two computer labs with 14 PCs in each lab.  The “B” lab is a separate room and can be used by classroom teachers for instruction using the Smart Board.  The second Smart Board is in the instructional area of the library.  All students at Aiken use the computers for learning opportunities, to enhance presentations and for research.  Our curriculum is tied to the grade level curriculum so that the library becomes an extension of the classroom.  West Hartford subscribes to several learning web sites including One More Story, Grolier online and Nettrekker.  Please see the resource page for connections to these sites.
