Managing your network disk space ...
WHPS Disk Space Usage Policy
WHPS provides students and faculty with network storage in an attempt to support and enhance the learning process as well as to provide users with an efficient way to store their data. Every effort is made to provide all users with the disk space they require, however the total amount of disk space will be limited in size. To effectively utilize network storage space we are providing the following guidelines to all our users.

WHPS E-Mail “Spring Cleaning”
As the end of the school year is fast approaching it is time once again to remind all email users to delete old and unnecessary email from their Lotus Notes database. In order to maintain the Notes server at peak performance we will need to limit the size of users' mail databases to 20MB per user. Please be sure to use email as email - not as "file storage" whenever possible.
To reduce the size of your mail database:
on the Lotus Notes top menu bar choose File Database Properties click on the tab with an I to see the size of your mail database
delete old mail - especially check your "sent" mail folder
save any file attachments you have to a floppy, your hard drive or network folder (if you have one) and then delete the email
delete "personal" mail - please remember that this is your WHPS mail account and should not be used as personal mail to send family photos, etc.
When you have finished deleting mail do the following
on the Lotus Notes top menu bar choose File Database Properties
Click on the tab with an i and click on Compact - this will compact your mail database to get rid of any unused space in it
If you receive an error when compacting your mail database try it again in a while or first thing the next morning
Any suspected infringement of the above guidelines may result in a freeze being placed on your account, account removal, academic discipline, and/or civil/criminal prosecution including but not limited to jail time, public thrashing and humiliation.
