Forms topics include: designing easy-to-follow printable forms for classroom activities and automating forms with user prompts to enter key project information.

The training will provide a more in-depth understanding of the Word for Windows word processing program along with ideas for classroom incorporation. Areas to be covered: Working with tool options, dividing documents into sections, defining and developing styles, creating and using templates, adding borders and shading to paragraphs, applying bullets, setting and defining columns and constructing tables. Teachers will create a unit of study to apply this knowledge immediately in their classrooms for student use in term projects, book reports, labs and any type of product a student would use to format and hand in.

Excel Charting and Data:  Simply Better Worksheets for Classroom

Focus on the powerful data and charting functions of Excel to really improve classroom learning.  Charting units include basic chart creation, editing charts, effective use of the chart toolbar and menus, and changing chart formatting.  Data topics include working with large spreadsheets, using data forms, data sort and filter, and applying automatic subtotals.  Topics also include creating macros for even faster data functions.
